Potted Mint Plants – How to Grow Mint in Containers

Mints, when grown on the ground, may become unruly and require a bigger space. Planting them on containers is best alternative for this concern. You may grow them from seed, but it’s brings more hassle than purchasing a small mint plant from a nursery. Fill any container with good quality potting mix—make sure it has a drainage hole and measures at least 12 inches in diameter. Put a little fertilizer but don’t overdo it, as it can affect your plant’s flavor. Once done, place it somewhere with enough sunlight. Mint can tolerate shade but it thrives best in sunlight.
